JOURNEY

LIFE IS GREAT WHEN YOU FINALLY KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO AND SET OUT TO ACHIEVE THEM.
NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE STEPS ARE, EACH STEP COUNTS.
NO MATTER HOW LONG THE JOURNEY IS, YOU WILL FIND THE SPIRIT TO GO ON.
I HAVE FOUND MY DREAM AND GOAL IN LIFE.
I WILL START MY JOURNEY NOW.
WHAT ABOUT YOURS?

New Point

Sigh... when you need to find someone, the person is never around. You would try a thousand ways to reach that person, through email, through sms, through the facebook or any kind of tricks up your sleeve... reaching only one conclusion... the person is uncontactable.

I need a break, a break from work, a break from thinking and a break from plans. When you try so hard to convince yourself that you are fine and cool about everything, it sometimes become a fact... a reality... but if the 'sometimes' becomes other wise, you find your fine-ness and cool-ness disintegrating and clamping up your nerves. That is what I am going through now... the clamping up stage. And I need to snap out of it soon and get on with life.

I wish to unlearn something, to erase some part of my memory, to go back to the past, to start all over again, to forget... But I have reach the present, the only way is the future, so I have to learn how to... wear a mask.

mr. original chocolate chip cookie

i baked my original chocolate chip cookie today, after refrigerator it for more than 18 hours. it turned out crispy outside, and a little fudgy on the inside, just the way i love my cookies!!

and this one below is a gift, a gift to apologize for over-reacting, which i wonder... was it due to my hormones screwing up my system [my aunt came knocking the very next day =)], although i have not said anything to that person yet, i was hurt badly and while licking my wounds, i used words that i shouldn't have, so this is gift of words...

I Wish You Love

unconsciously, i have been humming this song for the whole day, it is one of my favorite songs, and i love the version found in the show - and i hate you so.

enjoy:

and my friend, karen chu, does a great version of this song too! i hope you guys can hear that from her one day... =)

COOKIES... COOKIES...COOKIES

the recent upload of photos taken in melbourne tells me only one thing... it's time to lose some weight, sista! but all i did was bake more cookies! well, i had a valid reason, i needed them, i needed them to elevate my spirits, ease my pissed-off soul and calm myself down before i transformed into a sarcastic bi*ch *giggles*

mr. totally chocolate chip cookie did wonders to my spirits with its lasting bittersweet chocolate after-taste, every mouthful was filled by the crumbly cookie dough, the cookie crumbles the moment your teeth sinks into them, clinging onto the melted chocolate chips as a lifeline.

miss. oatmeal cookie was wonderfully created by tangy cranberries and oatmeal which gave the cookies a subtle but wonderful earthy smell. i was surprised by how juicy the cranberries buried in the cookie dough were!

look forward to the appearance of mr. original chocolate chip cookie tomorrow!

totally chocolate chip cookie recipe (nigella's website):

125g dark chocolate, minimum 70% cocoa solids
150g flour
30g cocoa, sieved
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/2 tsp salt
125g soft butter
75g light brown sugar
50g white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg, cold from the fridge
350g semi-sweet chocolate morsels or dark chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C/gas mark 3. Melt the 125g dark chocolate either in the microwave or in a heatproof dish over a pan of simmering water.
  2. Put the flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars in another bowl. Add the melted chocolate and mix together.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and cold eggs, and then mix in the dry ingredients. Finally stir in the chocolate morsels or chips.
  5. Scoop out 12 equal-sized mounds - an ice cream scoop and a palette knife are the best tools for the job - and place on a lied baking sheet about 6cm apart. Do not flatten them.
  6. Bake for 18 minutes, testing with a cake tester to make sure it comes out semi-clean and not wet with cookie mixture.
  7. leave to cool slightly on the baking sheet for 4-5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to harden as they cool.

Mummy's Birthday

1st of September - That is my mummy's birthday. She is the most wonderful wife, mother and mother-in-law! Oops, I am speaking for my sis-in-law. Well, I bought her a red Longchamp bag for daily use while my bro and sis-in-law gave her a Otto massager. I thought it was a great gift when my sis-in-law first told me, just what my mum needed! I attempted my lemon and orange cake... it was the worst cake I have ever made! *giggled* I think my attempt in reducing too much sugar and butter made the cake way too dense. Oh well, I guess it was a good lesson. We just had dinner at home, our Chang-family style of teppanyaki and it is the best! It works like steamboat but no soup, just a hot pan with lotsa plates and bowls of ingredients surrounding the pan, you can place whatever you want into the hot and sizzling pan. It doesn't take a long to cook, everything goes straight to your mouth once it is cooked, mmmm... =)

Well, we had rump steak beef which was sliced and seasoned with salt and pepper, chicken strips, prawns seasoned with cajun, squid (which my bro loves with butter!), scallops, vegetables, fish slices, lettuce to wrap all the yummy ingredients, all kinds of mushroom - sliced big brown swiss mushroom, small brown mushroom, golden mushroom...etc and a refreshing salad to wash away al the greasiness. In all, it was an enjoyable meal, everything was gone, nothing was left on the table when we finished. To add to the great dinner, we had lychee champagne to go along. It was a purrfect day... =)
